Through experience and expertise we have extensive knowledge on how to work with and implement updates and changes within your already established Design Systems. We offer an audit to see if the Design System is solid to work with or might need some revisions before we go all-in.
We hope we don't burst your bubble if we say we'd like to believe visual design is much more than drawing rectangles. Although we take that pretty serious too, we carry a deep seated believe visual design should be accessible, highly usable and brand driven.
With our toolbelt jam-packed with color, typography, shapes and whitespace we chisel away until there's a near perfect proverbial sculpture... And then we polish some more. Whether it's a website, an web or mobile interface, an icon set; we've got what it take to — quote unquote — make it pop.
Key principles
The fundamentals our visual design team lives by:
Design (is) for everyone
Nowadays accessible products are the new standard. Accessibility shouldn't be a luxury only to those who can afford it.

Make it future-proof
Modular design is so much more than just a means to crank out designs faster. It's a gift to the end user in disguise as it creates familiarity and patterns.

It's okay to be neat freaks
We take pride in the fact that we eat, sleep and breathe in 8px grid increments. All jokes aside we do believe in a heavily systematic approach to design for the sake of familiarity in patterns and a quick turnover.

Some of the things we excel at
Mobile
Our Visual Design team knows how to take on projects of any (screen) size. From activity apps that keeps you motivated, to a responsive web apps.
Design systems
We excel at building design systems from scratch according to the atomic design methodology. A solid commitment early on makes for an easy ride later.
Prototyping
If you think our static designs look good, just wait until you see the clickable prototypes to help you see the bigger picture.
Say hi to our Visual Design team
These are the people who'll be making the design magic happen.
It's my purpose to translate our clients' wants and needs into a visual direction for our team to work with.
I take joy in creating digital products and seeing it come to life through motion design.
As a designer I use my passion to create digital experiences and brands with delight.
FAQs about Visual Design
Because we believe honesty goes a long way.
We primarily work in Figma for all of our design work. Occasionally we turn to Adobe Illustrator to create things like geometric patterns. When designing for motion we work in Adobe After Effects.
We have a strong sense for combining aesthetically pleasing designs with accessibility. If the project scope allows us we know how to make sure our designs are WCAG compliant to make them accessible to, basically, everyone. Useful, and even more so required when designing products for federal agencies.
Absolutely. We have years of experience working closely with our own Development team and know *what* they need, when they need it. Whether you work with our team, your own, or an external party, our Visual Design team guarantees a smooth transition from design to development. We strongly advise to keep us in the loop when the project is being built by the developers, so we can conduct QA’s and ensure design implementation aligns with the brand.
In instances where clients lack a defined brand identity, design decisions are often made intuitively and aesthetically. To establish a style direction, we provide one or more options influenced by your product's market and the information you provide. If you seek a brand that encompasses more than visual elements, you may be interested in a comprehensive brand identity. Further details on this topic can be found in our explanation here.
We  prototyping. Prototyping can happen in a range of fidelities; from pages being tied together in a simple clickable prototype all the way to well thought out micro-interactions. We can create prototypes within Figma to show how your product will end up looking and working, including transitions.
Ofcourse! When we design websites, we include the mobile designs as default. Need another breakpoint? We’re happy to include those too. It also depends on your target audience and which device(s) they use to figure out which breakpoint we will design for, which our UX Design team will uncover with their research.
Actually, creating custom icons is our strong suit. Iconography can play a big part in both how usable a product is as well as how it looks and feels. The latter is even more true when we’re talking about custom icon design.
