Studytube was preparing to take their platform to international markets, starting with the UK. With a major industry event in London approaching, their website had to reflect the refined vision of a company ready for that next step, not the early-stage product they had outgrown.

We worked with Studytube across multiple phases. Starting with a website redesign ahead of their UK market push, we then moved into platform design. Creative direction, on-site workshops with their design team, AI feature design, and a component library, all running in bi-weekly design cycles.

Introduction

Studytube is the leading organizational learning platform in the Netherlands, used by 600+ companies to develop their people. After years of growing their user base locally, they set their sights on international markets with the UK as their first target. The platform supports learning and development teams at companies of all sizes.

A hard deadline that focused everything

Studytube had a concrete deadline: Learning Technologies, one of the biggest L&D events in the UK. For a company positioning itself as the leading organizational learning platform, showing up without a website that matched that ambition wasn't an option. The event set a clear finish line and forced sharper decisions earlier. We used the constraint to our advantage, moving through style direction, design and handover in a compressed timeline without losing quality.

Visual direction that could actually be built

In earlier collaborations, we had explored a bold new visual direction for Studytube together. This project was about making that direction practical. We translated the creative exploration into concrete Brand Guidelines with clear rules for typography, color, shapes and motion the team could apply consistently. The rounded shapes that defined this phase grew directly out of their repositioning. Forms that felt more human and more fitting for a platform entering a new market.

A website that speaks to every audience

Studytube's previous website struggled to speak to multiple audiences at once. HR professionals, L&D teams, school admins and district buyers all need different things. We ran a strategy session to align on core messages and audience priorities, introduced significantly more photography throughout the layout, and redesigned the information architecture to give each group a clearer path. Pricing was restructured into five clear plans. The result is a website that does the work of a first conversation before anyone reaches out.

Brand in every asset they share

Keeping the brand consistent on the website was one challenge. Keeping it consistent across everything Studytube's marketing team produces was another. We set up a Brand Guidelines system in Zeroheight covering colors, typography, photography, illustrations and motion, alongside production-ready templates for video, publications and advertising. Sector-specific pages and imagery were created for the various industries Studytube is active in. Their marketing team can now pick up any asset and use it without drifting from the direction, whether it's a campaign landing page or a LinkedIn post.

Side by side with their design team

The platform work went beyond remote design cycles. We visited Studytube's office to run a creative direction and ideation session with their design team, working through visual constraints, exploring directions and making decisions in the room rather than across comment threads. From that session we designed the key platform screens: the creation wizard, authoring tool, learning type detail pages and skill widgets. We also designed AI features for the platform, giving users smarter ways to interact with their learning content.

Results

Studytube arrived at Learning Technologies with a website that matched their ambition. The platform work that followed gave their product team a visual language and component library to build on. Marketing videos were in production with the new designs before the project closed. The brand system, website, platform and marketing assets now move together. One consistent experience across every touchpoint their audience encounters.
